Today, same thing happened, only a Dutch guy called. I found it rude, not because she clearly spoke English very well, but because it's good manners and customary to present yourself as a rule, before leaving me hanging like that.
I asked to please repeat that in English - to which she replied, in English, that if I don't speak Dutch, another colleague of hers will call me and speak English. I do understand a little bit of Dutch, but she spoke fast and I was in a loud environment so I didn't get anything she said.
My phone rang, I saw that it's a no caller ID, and while I am somewhat against responding to people or institutions who don't identify themselves, I picked up and a girl spoke to me in Dutch. So it all started a week ago when I was having lunch at work.
